Improvement Services for Secondary Schools and Colleges
Whole-school review or mini inspection/SEF review
Subject specialist OFSTED inspectors and expert practitioners are available in almost all secondary school subjects.
The schools we work with use our specialist OFSTED inspectors for supported self evaluation in five main circumstances:
- as part of a school’s rolling programme of external subject reviews to support self evaluation and continued excellence
- to train new subject leaders
- to address subject underachievement or phase issues
(e.g. intensive support to address underperformance at ‘A’ level) - as part of a whole-school rapid improvement programme
- at LA or Improvement Partnership level when one subject is reviewed in a group of schools to plan collaborative training and dissemination.
Subject specialist OFSTED inspectors and expert practitioners are available in all 11-16 subjects and almost all post 16 subjects.
